Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2011 Sothebys in Toronto held the auction Important Canadian Art, which included the work Table With Hare by Joseph Hector Yvon Fafard. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of CAD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of CAD 21,600.00 (€ 15,741.20) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Joseph Hector Yvon Fafard - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Inventor And His Invention, which sold at auction in November 2011 for CAD 48,000.00 (€ 34,980.45).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2011 führte Sothebys in Toronto die Auktion Important Canadian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Table With Hare von Joseph Hector Yvon Fafard zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von CAD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von CAD 21.600,00 (€ 15.741,20) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Joseph Hector Yvon Fafard mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Inventor And His Invention beobachtet, die im November 2011 für CAD 48.000,00 (€ 34.980,45) versteigert wurde.
