Despite a disappointment, a good price for Joseph Fratrel
In December 2001 a collector was able to acquire the work An interesting Collection by Joseph Fratrel for GBP 1,762.50 (€ 2,879.68). This price was achieved in the auction Prints at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 2,500.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Despite this disappointing result, An interesting Collection is the most expensive artwork by Joseph Fratrel that we have observed at auction so far.
