Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Femme aux roses (Woman with roses) by Joe Descomps was auctioned at Sothebys in London in July 2021. The price achieved of GBP 5,040.00 (€ 5,910.45) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Joe Descomps - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Femme Drappée, which sold at auction in November 2004 for EUR 22,705.00.

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.040,00 (€ 5.910,45) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Joe Descomps mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Femme Drappée beobachtet, die im November 2004 für EUR 22.705,00 versteigert wurde.
