Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2020 Bonhams in London held the auction Decorative Arts and Contemporary Ceramics including Vintage Posters, which included the work Female Nude With Cloak, Circa 1925 by Joe Descomps. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,912.50 (€ 2,136.43) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joe Descomps achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Femme Drappée in November 2004 with an auction result of EUR 22,705.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2020 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Decorative Arts and Contemporary Ceramics including Vintage Posters durch, in der auch die Arbeit Female Nude With Cloak, Circa 1925 von Joe Descomps zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 1.912,50 (€ 2.136,43) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Joe Descomps erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Femme Drappée im November 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 22.705,00.
