Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2004 Christies in London held the auction 20th Century British Art, which included the work Two ladies in an interior by Joseph Alfred Terry. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,151.00 (€ 3,219.85) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Joseph Alfred Terry have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Garden Party in June 2006 with an auction result of GBP 20,400.00 (€ 29,518.46).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2004 führte Christies in London die Auktion 20th Century British Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Two ladies in an interior von Joseph Alfred Terry zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 2.151,00 (€ 3.219,85) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Joseph Alfred Terry auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Garden Party im Juni 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 20.400,00 (€ 29.518,46).
