Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Joseph Alfred Terry could be acquired at Christies in London in July 2003 for an unexpectedly low price. In the BRITISH ART ON PAPER INCLUDING ORIGINAL BOOK ILLUSTRATIONS auction, the work The valley of Kennett, Pennsylvania changed hands for GBP 58.75 (€ 76.79) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 200.00 – 400.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joseph Alfred Terry achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Garden Party in June 2006 with an auction result of GBP 20,400.00 (€ 29,518.46).
