Admittedly, works by Josef von Brandt have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Caravan in July this year with an auction result of GBP 214,200.00 (€ 249,906.48).

Die Arbeit The lone hunter von Josef von Brandt kam im Dezember 2002 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 26.290,00 (€ 40.356,47) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 31%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Josef von Brandt auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Caravan im Juli diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 214.200,00 (€ 249.906,48).
