It achieved a price of USD 230,500.00 (€ 181,753.67), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 54%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Josef von Brandt; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot The Caravan sold at auction in July this year with the realized price of GBP 214,200.00 (€ 249,906.48).

Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 230.500,00 (€ 181.753,67) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 54%. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Josef von Brandt; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit The Caravan im Juli diesen Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 214.200,00 (€ 249.906,48).
