Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Romania by Josef Koudelka was auctioned at Phillips in London in May last year. It achieved a price of GBP 13,860.00 (€ 16,304.97), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 16%. Admittedly, works by Josef Koudelka have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Gypsy, Kladno, Czechoslovakia, 1966 in November 2017 with an auction result of EUR 68,750.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Romania von Josef Koudelka kam im Mai letzten Jahres bei Phillips in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 13.860,00 (€ 16.304,97) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 16%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Josef Koudelka auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Gypsy, Kladno, Czechoslovakia, 1966 im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 68.750,00.
