Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Guadix, Grenada, Andalucía, Spain by Josef Koudelka was sold in the Photographs auction at Phillips in New York in April this year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 12,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 12,700.00 (€ 11,503.62). Admittedly, works by Josef Koudelka have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Gypsy, Kladno, Czechoslovakia, 1966 in November 2017 with an auction result of EUR 68,750.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Guadix, Grenada, Andalucía, Spain von Josef Koudelka wurde im April diesen Jahres in der Auktion Photographs bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 12.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 12.700,00 (€ 11.503,62) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Josef Koudelka auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Gypsy, Kladno, Czechoslovakia, 1966 im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 68.750,00.
