Auction result well in line with expectations
In December last year Christies in Hong Kong held the auction No Regrets: 20th/21st Century Art Online, which included the work Writers' Bench: 149th Street and Grand Concourse by José Parlá. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 50,000.00 – 80,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 50,400.00 (€ 6,039.71) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by José Parlá achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Writers' Bench: Grand Concourse & 149th Street, The Bronx in June last year with an auction result of HKD 1,764,000.00 (€ 214,665.78).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember letzten Jahres führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion No Regrets: 20th/21st Century Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Writers' Bench: 149th Street and Grand Concourse von José Parlá zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 50.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 50.400,00 (€ 6.039,71) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von José Parlá erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Writers' Bench: Grand Concourse & 149th Street, The Bronx im Juni letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.764.000,00 (€ 214.665,78).
