Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2020 Bonhams in New York held the auction Modern & Contemporary Art20th Century to Today, which included the work Untitled (Concrete) by Jose Mijares. Here, the upper estimate of USD 15,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 15,075.00 (€ 13,583.53). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jose Mijares - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Lo concreto en rojo, which sold at auction in May last year for USD 50,400.00 (€ 46,966.73).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2020 führte Bonhams in New York die Auktion Modern & Contemporary Art20th Century to Today durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Concrete) von Jose Mijares zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 15.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 15.075,00 (€ 13.583,53) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Jose Mijares mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Lo concreto en rojo beobachtet, die im Mai letzten Jahres für USD 50.400,00 (€ 46.966,73) versteigert wurde.
