In July 2021 Bonhams in New York held the auction Cuban ArtFeaturing the work of Loló Soldevilla, which included the work Concret by Jose Mijares. The »bidding war« ended at USD 22,812.50 (€ 19,228.34), 52% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jose Mijares - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Lo concreto en rojo, which sold at auction in May last year for USD 50,400.00 (€ 46,966.73).

Im Juli 2021 führte Bonhams in New York die Auktion Cuban ArtFeaturing the work of Loló Soldevilla durch, in der auch die Arbeit Concret von Jose Mijares zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 22.812,50 (€ 19.228,34) und damit 52% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Jose Mijares mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Lo concreto en rojo beobachtet, die im Mai letzten Jahres für USD 50.400,00 (€ 46.966,73) versteigert wurde.
