It achieved a price of USD 25,000.00 (€ 20,099.69), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 67%. Admittedly, works by José Chávez Morado have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Los embozados in November 2018 with an auction result of USD 162,500.00 (€ 143,513.20).

Die Arbeit The Workers von José Chávez Morado wurde im November 2014 in der Auktion Latin American Art Modern & Contemporary bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 20.099,69) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 67%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von José Chávez Morado auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Los embozados im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 162.500,00 (€ 143.513,20).
