Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Rostro Antiquo And N Sense (Two Works) by José Bedia was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in November 2015, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 6,875.00 (€ 6,509.18). Admittedly, works by José Bedia have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work !Ay Tatá! ?Hasta Cuándo? in November 2006 with an auction result of USD 61,200.00 (€ 46,150.37).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Rostro Antiquo And N Sense (Two Works) von José Bedia im November 2015 bei Sothebys in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 6.875,00 (€ 6.509,18) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von José Bedia auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit !Ay Tatá! ?Hasta Cuándo? im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 61.200,00 (€ 46.150,37).
