The »bidding war« ended at USD 171,750.00 (€ 132,237.45), 43% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by José Agustín Arrieta have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work El Costeño in November 2012 with an auction result of USD 932,500.00 (€ 716,756.34).

Die Arbeit Cuadro de comedor von José Agustín Arrieta wurde im Mai 2013 in der Auktion Latin American Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 171.750,00 (€ 132.237,45) und damit 43% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von José Agustín Arrieta auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit El Costeño im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 932.500,00 (€ 716.756,34).
