Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Cuadro de Comedor (Guacamaya, barril, frutero de cristal cortado y calabaza) by José Agustín Arrieta was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in May last year. The price achieved of USD 100,800.00 (€ 93,933.46) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Admittedly, works by José Agustín Arrieta have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work El Costeño in November 2012 with an auction result of USD 932,500.00 (€ 716,756.34).

Die Arbeit Cuadro de Comedor (Guacamaya, barril, frutero de cristal cortado y calabaza) von José Agustín Arrieta kam im Mai letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 100.800,00 (€ 93.933,46) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von José Agustín Arrieta auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit El Costeño im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 932.500,00 (€ 716.756,34).
