A top price for Jorge Blanco - as previously expected
In November 2016 Sothebys in New York held the auction Latin America: Modern Art | Latin America: Contemporary Art, which included the work Runner by Jorge Blanco. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 27,500.00 (€ 25,997.35) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Runner is the most expensive artwork by Jorge Blanco that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im November 2016 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Latin America: Modern Art | Latin America: Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Runner von Jorge Blanco zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 27.500,00 (€ 25.997,35) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Runner das teuerste Kunstwerk von Jorge Blanco, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
