In November 2015 Sothebys in New York held the auction Latin America: Modern Art, which included the work The Thinker And Bird by Jorge Blanco. The »bidding war« ended at USD 22,500.00 (€ 21,302.78), 50% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Jorge Blanco; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Runner sold at auction in November 2016 with the realized price of USD 27,500.00 (€ 25,997.35).

Im November 2015 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Latin America: Modern Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Thinker And Bird von Jorge Blanco zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 22.500,00 (€ 21.302,78) und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Jorge Blanco; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Runner im November 2016 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 27.500,00 (€ 25.997,35).
