In June 2004 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Twentieth Century Art including Belgian Art, which included the work A still life with a pot of paint by Jopie Huisman. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 22,705.00 51% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jopie Huisman - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Pair of Shoes, which sold at auction in May 2010 for EUR 49,000.00.

Im Juni 2004 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Twentieth Century Art including Belgian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit A still life with a pot of paint von Jopie Huisman zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 22.705,00 und damit 51% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Jopie Huisman mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Pair of Shoes beobachtet, die im Mai 2010 für EUR 49.000,00 versteigert wurde.
