Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In September 2009 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Nineteen to Now, art from the 19th, 20th & 21st centuries, including Topographical Observations, African and Indonesian Pictures, which included the work Trees by a ditch on a sunny day by Jopie Huisman. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 3,500.00 17% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jopie Huisman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Pair of Shoes in May 2010 with an auction result of EUR 49,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im September 2009 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Nineteen to Now, art from the 19th, 20th & 21st centuries, including Topographical Observations, African and Indonesian Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Trees by a ditch on a sunny day von Jopie Huisman zur Versteigerung kam.
