Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A mountainous landscape with travellers on paths along a riverbank by Joos de Momper was auctioned at Christies in London in July last year. The price achieved of GBP 18,900.00 (€ 22,569.96) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joos de Momper achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Paysage d'hiver avec un moulin à vent in June 2021 with an auction result of EUR 362,500.00.

Die Arbeit A mountainous landscape with travellers on paths along a riverbank von Joos de Momper kam im Juli letzten Jahres bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 18.900,00 (€ 22.569,96) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 15.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Joos de Momper erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Paysage d'hiver avec un moulin à vent im Juni 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 362.500,00.
