Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2017 Christies in London held the auction Old Masters including Old Master & British Drawings and Watercolours, which included the work A Mountainous Landscape With Soldiers Preparing An Attack By A Bridge by Joos de Momper. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 15,000.00 – 25,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 17,500.00 (€ 19,693.69) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joos de Momper achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Paysage d'hiver avec un moulin à vent in June 2021 with an auction result of EUR 362,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2017 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Masters including Old Master & British Drawings and Watercolours durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Mountainous Landscape With Soldiers Preparing An Attack By A Bridge von Joos de Momper zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 17.500,00 (€ 19.693,69) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Joos de Momper erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Paysage d'hiver avec un moulin à vent im Juni 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 362.500,00.
