Auction result well in line with expectations
In December this year Phillips in 7 - held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art: Online Auction, New York, which included the work Dance Party in a Closed Cleo's by Jonni Cheatwood. The price achieved of USD 2,540.00 (€ 2,296.15) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jonni Cheatwood have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Trash Can Full of Balloons in March last year with an auction result of USD 22,680.00 (€ 20,445.33).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember diesen Jahres führte Phillips in 7 - die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art: Online Auction, New York durch, in der auch die Arbeit Dance Party in a Closed Cleo's von Jonni Cheatwood zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 2.540,00 (€ 2.296,15) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jonni Cheatwood auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Trash Can Full of Balloons im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 22.680,00 (€ 20.445,33).
