Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Thunder Roadblock, 2015 by Jonni Cheatwood was sold in the Post-War & Contemporary Art auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in February 2021. Here, the upper estimate of USD 7,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 7,650.00 (€ 6,325.97). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jonni Cheatwood - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Trash Can Full of Balloons, which sold at auction in March last year for USD 22,680.00 (€ 20,445.33).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Thunder Roadblock, 2015 von Jonni Cheatwood wurde im Februar 2021 in der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 7.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 7.650,00 (€ 6.325,97) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Jonni Cheatwood mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Trash Can Full of Balloons beobachtet, die im März letzten Jahres für USD 22.680,00 (€ 20.445,33) versteigert wurde.
