Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Landscape by Jonas Lie was sold in the American Art Online auction at Christies in New York in May 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 12,500.00 (€ 10,711.23) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Jonas Lie have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work On the Wings of the Morning in August 2020 with an auction result of USD 87,500.00 (€ 73,307.64).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Landscape von Jonas Lie wurde im Mai 2018 in der Auktion American Art Online bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 12.500,00 (€ 10.711,23) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jonas Lie auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit On the Wings of the Morning im August 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 87.500,00 (€ 73.307,64).
