Auction result well in line with expectations
In August 2003 Christies in Sydney held the auction AUSTRALIAN, INTERNATIONAL & CONTEMPORARY PAINTINGS, which included the work Rising Group by Jon Cattapan. The price achieved of AUD 11,750.00 (€ 6,941.33) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Other works by Jon Cattapan have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in April 2006 the work Emperor'S Head was auctioned for AUD 20,315.00 (€ 12,218.93).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im August 2003 führte Christies in Sydney die Auktion AUSTRALIAN, INTERNATIONAL & CONTEMPORARY PAINTINGS durch, in der auch die Arbeit Rising Group von Jon Cattapan zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 11.750,00 (€ 6.941,33) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Jon Cattapan konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im April 2006 die Arbeit Emperor'S Head für AUD 20.315,00 (€ 12.218,93) versteigert.
