The »bidding war« ended at AUD 14,687.50 (€ 8,282.79), 22% above the upper estimate. Other works by Jon Cattapan have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of AUD 20,315.00 (€ 12,218.93) in April 2006 for the work Emperor'S Head.
