This artwork by Jon Buck achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in July 2003. In the Twentieth Century British Art auction, the work The Embrace II sold for GBP 2,350.00 (€ 3,071.61) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 800.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Jon Buck; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Two men embracing sold at auction in July 2003 with the realized price of GBP 4,700.00 (€ 6,143.22).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jon Buck erzielte im Juli 2003 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Twentieth Century British Art wurde die Arbeit The Embrace II für GBP 2.350,00 (€ 3.071,61) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 800,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Jon Buck; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Two men embracing im Juli 2003 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 4.700,00 (€ 6.143,22).
