It achieved a price of GBP 87,750.00 (€ 102,098.34), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 46%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John William Godward achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Far away thoughts in December 2012 with an auction result of GBP 1,049,250.00 (€ 1,294,016.65).
