Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work The Warren by John White Abbott for GBP 1,625.00 (€ 1,908.15). This price was achieved in the auction The Ross Collection From Knockmore, Enniskerry, Wicklow, Part II at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John White Abbott achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ugbrooke, Devon in June 2006 with an auction result of GBP 38,400.00 (€ 55,564.16).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2019 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit The Warren von John White Abbott für GBP 1.625,00 (€ 1.908,15) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The Ross Collection From Knockmore, Enniskerry, Wicklow, Part II bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John White Abbott erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ugbrooke, Devon im Juni 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 38.400,00 (€ 55.564,16).
