In the The Ross Collection From Knockmore, Enniskerry, Wicklow, Part II auction, the work Travellers seated on the road to Rome, St Peter's beyond sold for GBP 5,625.00 (€ 6,605.13) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by John White Abbott have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Ugbrooke, Devon in June 2006 with an auction result of GBP 38,400.00 (€ 55,564.16).
