This artwork by John White Abbott achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in November 2019. In the The Ross Collection From Knockmore, Enniskerry, Wicklow, Part II auction, the work Travellers seated on the road to Rome, St Peter's beyond sold for GBP 5,625.00 (€ 6,605.13) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by John White Abbott have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Ugbrooke, Devon in June 2006 with an auction result of GBP 38,400.00 (€ 55,564.16).

In der Auktion The Ross Collection From Knockmore, Enniskerry, Wicklow, Part II wurde die Arbeit Travellers seated on the road to Rome, St Peter's beyond für GBP 5.625,00 (€ 6.605,13) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von John White Abbott auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Ugbrooke, Devon im Juni 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 38.400,00 (€ 55.564,16).
