In December 2018 Christies in London held the auction Old Masters/New Scholars: Works of Art Sold to Benefit Rugby School, which included the work The street procession by John Varley Jnr.. The result of GBP 4,000.00 (€ 4,456.35) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Varley Jnr. - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work British the Mosque Of Khair Bek, Cairo, which sold at auction in June 2010 for GBP 13,750.00 (€ 16,721.28).
