Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In June 2006 Christies in London held the auction Sporting Art, Wildlife and Dogs, which included the work A Lady'S Hack by John Sturgess. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 700.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 720.00 (€ 1,041.83). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Sturgess achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Going to post; Jumping the brook; Crossing the road; and The run in in May 2008 with an auction result of GBP 18,500.00 (€ 23,532.81).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juni 2006 führte Christies in London die Auktion Sporting Art, Wildlife and Dogs durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Lady'S Hack von John Sturgess zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 700,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 720,00 (€ 1.041,83) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Sturgess erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Going to post; Jumping the brook; Crossing the road; and The run in im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 18.500,00 (€ 23.532,81).
