Auction result well in line with expectations
The work In the Bois de Bologne; and Notre Fidéle (illustrated) by John Strevens was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2003. The price achieved of GBP 705.00 (€ 921.48) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 600.00 – 800.00. Admittedly, works by John Strevens have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Meeting in the park in August 2007 with an auction result of GBP 4,560.00 (€ 6,740.88).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 705,00 (€ 921,48) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 600,00 – 800,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von John Strevens auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Meeting in the park im August 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.560,00 (€ 6.740,88).
