Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2011 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work Spanish beauty by John Strevens. The price achieved of GBP 500.00 (€ 565.75) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 400.00 – 600.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Strevens achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Meeting in the park in August 2007 with an auction result of GBP 4,560.00 (€ 6,740.88).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2011 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit Spanish beauty von John Strevens zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 500,00 (€ 565,75) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 400,00 – 600,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Strevens erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Meeting in the park im August 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.560,00 (€ 6.740,88).
