In the Master Paintings & 19th Century European Art auction, the work A Sailboat In The Arctic changed hands for USD 6,250.00 (€ 5,790.25) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Steven Dews achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Westward Reaching Through Cowes Roads in December 2006 with an auction result of GBP 120,000.00 (€ 178,095.02).
