This work of art by John 'Warwick' Smith could be acquired at Christies in London in July 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Old Master and British Drawings and Watercolours including a Fine Collection of Old Master Prints auction, the work The Bay of Naples, from the beach at Posillipo changed hands for GBP 750.00 (€ 879.53) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John 'Warwick' Smith achieve.
