This artwork by John Sex achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in October 2020. In the Dear Keith: Works from the Personal Collection of Keith Haring auction, the work without title sold for USD 1,638.00 (€ 1,406.37) - well above the upper estimate of USD 700.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Sex - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Art Through The Mail, which sold at auction in October 2020 for USD 4,410.00 (€ 3,786.38).

Dieses Kunstwerk von John Sex erzielte im Oktober 2020 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Dear Keith: Works from the Personal Collection of Keith Haring wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 1.638,00 (€ 1.406,37) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 700,00. Für andere Arbeiten von John Sex mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Art Through The Mail beobachtet, die im Oktober 2020 für USD 4.410,00 (€ 3.786,38) versteigert wurde.
