When the work Art Through The Mail by John Sex was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in October 2020, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at a - in retrospect quite modest - USD 800.00 but the actual price achieved was more than five times as high at USD 4,410.00 (€ 3,786.38). This high result makes Art Through The Mail the most expensive artwork by John Sex that we have observed at auctions so far.
