Auction result misses estimated price range
In July 2004 a collector was able to acquire the work Untitled, 1971 by John Seery for USD 537.75 (€ 446.93). This price was achieved in the auction The House Sale at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 600.00 – 800.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Seery achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Rio Grande. 1974. in December 2009 with an auction result of CHF 9,000.00 (€ 6,062.38).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juli 2004 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Untitled, 1971 von John Seery für USD 537,75 (€ 446,93) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The House Sale bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 600,00 – 800,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Seery erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Rio Grande. 1974. im Dezember 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CHF 9.000,00 (€ 6.062,38).
