Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Light of Other Days by John Schwatschke was auctioned at Christies in London in April 2008. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,593.57) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by John Schwatschke have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2006 the work Double Vision was auctioned for GBP 1,800.00 (€ 2,627.41).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Light of Other Days von John Schwatschke kam im April 2008 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.200,00 – 1.800,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.250,00 (€ 1.593,57) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von John Schwatschke konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Mai 2006 die Arbeit Double Vision für GBP 1.800,00 (€ 2.627,41) versteigert.
