A top price for John Schwatschke - as previously expected
The work Double Vision by John Schwatschke was auctioned at Christies in London in May 2006. The price achieved of GBP 1,800.00 (€ 2,627.41) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Double Vision is the most expensive artwork by John Schwatschke that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Double Vision von John Schwatschke kam im Mai 2006 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.800,00 (€ 2.627,41) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Double Vision das teuerste Kunstwerk von John Schwatschke, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
