Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Andromeda by John Roddam Spencer Stanhope was sold in the British & Irish Art auction at Sothebys in London in November 2013. The price achieved of GBP 116,500.00 (€ 140,192.16) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Admittedly, works by John Roddam Spencer Stanhope have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Penelope in December 2017 with an auction result of GBP 645,000.00 (€ 725,853.02).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
