Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by John Robert Cozens could be acquired at Sothebys in London in July 2011 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Old Master and British Drawings Including Property from the Descendants of Walter Brandt auction, the work The Lesser Valley Of Ober-Hasli, Upper Part From The North, Switzerland changed hands for GBP 39,650.00 (€ 45,504.31) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Robert Cozens achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Lake Of Albano And Castel Gandolfo in July 2010 with an auction result of GBP 2,393,250.00 (€ 2,877,613.47).
In der Auktion Old Master and British Drawings Including Property from the Descendants of Walter Brandt wechselte die Arbeit The Lesser Valley Of Ober-Hasli, Upper Part From The North, Switzerland für GBP 39.650,00 (€ 45.504,31) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00.
