In July 2012 Christies in London held the auction Old Master & Early British Drawings and Watercolours, which included the work On a lane near the Porta Pinciana, Rome by John Robert Cozens. The result of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 19,105.97) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Robert Cozens achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Lake Of Albano And Castel Gandolfo in July 2010 with an auction result of GBP 2,393,250.00 (€ 2,877,613.47).
