Auction result well in line with expectations
The work London And The Thames From Greenwich by John Robert Cozens was auctioned at Sothebys in London in July 2013. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 80,000.00 – 120,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 80,500.00 (€ 91,985.28) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Robert Cozens achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Lake Of Albano And Castel Gandolfo in July 2010 with an auction result of GBP 2,393,250.00 (€ 2,877,613.47).
