Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2009 Sothebys in London held the auction Early British Drawings, Watercolours and Portrait Miniatures, which included the work La Galleria Di Sopra, Above Lake Albano, Italy by John Robert Cozens. The price achieved of GBP 25,000.00 (€ 28,367.51) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Robert Cozens achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Lake Of Albano And Castel Gandolfo in July 2010 with an auction result of GBP 2,393,250.00 (€ 2,877,613.47).

Im Juli 2009 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Early British Drawings, Watercolours and Portrait Miniatures durch, in der auch die Arbeit La Galleria Di Sopra, Above Lake Albano, Italy von John Robert Cozens zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 25.000,00 (€ 28.367,51) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Robert Cozens erzielen.
