Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April 2021 Bonhams in Sydney / Melbourne held the auction Important Australian Art, which included the work Bathers by John Passmore. The »bidding war« ended at AUD 30,750.00 (€ 25,561.10), 23% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by John Passmore have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Water'S Edge #2 in March 2006 with an auction result of AUD 203,150.00 (€ 119,908.54).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im April 2021 führte Bonhams in Sydney / Melbourne die Auktion Important Australian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Bathers von John Passmore zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von AUD 30.750,00 (€ 25.561,10) und damit 23% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von John Passmore auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Water'S Edge #2 im März 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 203.150,00 (€ 119.908,54).
