Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Bathers, c.1930 by John Passmore was auctioned at Bonhams in April this year. The price achieved of AUD 6,765.00 (€ 4,054.71) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 6,000.00 – 9,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Passmore achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Water'S Edge #2 in March 2006 with an auction result of AUD 203,150.00 (€ 119,908.54).

Die Arbeit Bathers, c.1930 von John Passmore kam im April diesen Jahres bei Bonhams zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 6.765,00 (€ 4.054,71) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 6.000,00 – 9.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Passmore erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Water'S Edge #2 im März 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 203.150,00 (€ 119.908,54).
